Over the last few weeks I've learned that turning this into a non profit organization is going to cost $800.00+ on the low end of the spectrum . I have to file to be a Trust, Corp, or an Association, file for an EIN (employers identification number), and file the 501 C3 application. The Application filing fee is $400.00 alone.
All I want to do is help others in a legit legal way. I can't believe it cost so much. So. I'm asking for your help. Cash Donations can be made via Paypal. Even if you don't have a Paypal account you still can donate by using a bank / debit / credit cards. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart in helping me get this program off the ground to help others in need. By printing your receipt you can use it when filing your taxes as a donation.

Welcome To Lakeshore Community Closet
I'm Starting a "closet" of sorts.
Proms, dances and formal events are quite costly and for some families it leaves the child feeling left out, guilty, and depressed. It's no secret that this area has been hit with many factories closings, leaving one or both parents without a job. I want to help ease that burden! To have a closet filled with not only dresses and gowns, but also men's suits, dress pants, collared shirts and ties. I'm working with someone from the school district and also people from the community. The clothes will remain a part of the closet and will be borrowed out for the evening. Please consider donating any formal wear you have jammed in your closet. It don't have to be perfect or "in Style" I'm handy with a sewing machine and can fix or reinvent the article. I'm willing to pick up any items you may have. My Dream is to be set up and running for the 2013-2014 school year. I believe it takes a village to raise a child!.
I'm working on becoming a non profit organization, also.
